Descrição do produto
Product overview:
Planetary gearheads feature extremely high power transmission with a very short design. The modular design and the scaled stages provide the basis for a customer-specific solution. Metal components make use in a wide range of applications possible. At the same time they have a very compact form, low weight, and excellent efficiency. Self-centering planet gears ensure a symmetrical force distribution. The ring gear also forms the housing of the gearbox. The gearbox output shaft is supported in 2 ball bearings so that it can withstand high axial and radial loads. The gearboxes are customized, e.g. for use in especially low ambient temperatures, or as high-power gearboxes with reinforced output shafts, or with special lubricants for very long service life.

Adjusting Tension on a Mower Gearbox Belt
Proper tension adjustment of the gearbox belt in your mower is crucial for optimal performance and belt longevity. Follow these steps to adjust the tension:
- Preparation: Turn off the mower’s engine and disconnect the spark plug wire to ensure safety.
- Locate the Adjustment Mechanism: Identify the tension adjustment mechanism on the mower. This could be a tensioning bolt, an adjustable bracket, or another mechanism depending on the mower model.
- Loosen Bolts: If your mower has tensioning bolts, slightly loosen the mounting bolts securing the gearbox in place. This allows the gearbox to move and adjust tension.
- Adjust Tension: Use the tension adjustment mechanism to increase or decrease the tension on the belt. Refer to your mower’s manual for recommended tension specifications.
- Check Tension: After adjusting, check the tension by pressing down on the belt at a midpoint between the pulleys. The belt should give a little, but not excessively. Also, check for proper alignment of the pulleys.
- Tighten Bolts: Once the tension is set correctly, tighten the mounting bolts of the gearbox to secure it in place.
- Test Operation: Reconnect the spark plug wire and start the mower to observe the belt’s operation. Listen for any unusual noises and monitor the belt for proper engagement with the pulleys.
Regularly checking and adjusting the tension of the gearbox belt ensures efficient power transmission and prevents premature wear. If you’re unsure about the proper tension adjustment, consult your mower’s manual or seek assistance from a professional.

Lifespan of a Typical Mower Gearbox
The lifespan of a mower gearbox can vary depending on several factors, including the quality of the gearbox, maintenance practices, usage frequency, and operating conditions. On average, a well-maintained and high-quality mower gearbox can last between 5 to 10 years or even more.
Regular maintenance, such as checking and maintaining the oil level, cleaning and lubricating components, and addressing any issues promptly, can significantly extend the lifespan of a mower gearbox. Quality components, proper usage, and adherence to manufacturer guidelines also play a crucial role in determining how long a mower gearbox will last.
If you start noticing signs of wear, performance issues, or unusual noises from the gearbox, it’s important to address them promptly to prevent further damage and potentially extend the gearbox’s lifespan.

Role of a Mower Gearbox
A mower gearbox is a crucial component in various types of mowers and lawn maintenance equipment. Its primary role is to transfer power from the mower’s engine to the cutting blades, enabling the blades to rotate and perform the cutting or mulching action. Mower gearboxes are designed to handle the specific requirements of mowing tasks, providing the necessary torque and speed conversion to effectively cut grass, weeds, and other vegetation.
The key functions of a mower gearbox include:
- Power Transmission: The mower gearbox transfers power generated by the engine to the cutting blades. This power transmission is necessary to rotate the blades at the required speed for efficient cutting.
- Torque Conversion: Mower gearboxes are designed to convert the high-speed, low-torque output of the engine into the high-torque, low-speed rotation required by the cutting blades.
- Blade Synchronization: In mowers with multiple cutting blades, the gearbox ensures that all blades rotate at the same speed and remain synchronized. This ensures an even and consistent cutting pattern.
- Adjustable Cutting Height: Many mower gearboxes are equipped with mechanisms that allow operators to adjust the cutting height of the blades. This feature enables users to customize the lawn’s appearance and accommodate different grass lengths.
- Direction Control: Some mower gearboxes are designed to provide the ability to switch between forward and reverse directions, allowing the mower to navigate obstacles or change mowing patterns.
Mower gearboxes are available in various designs and configurations to suit different types of mowers, such as rotary mowers, flail mowers, reel mowers, and more. They play a crucial role in ensuring efficient and effective lawn maintenance by delivering the power and torque needed to achieve clean and even cuts.
