- Connect the PTO drive shaft to the gearbox input spline. Push the shaft on fully and verify it telescopes freely through the complete range of three-point hitch travel.
- After the first 10 hours of operation, re-torque all mounting bolts to specification and verify oil level. Perform the first oil drain and refill at 50 hours.
- Disconnect the tractor PTO shaft and safely support the mower implement on jack stands or blocks before beginning the gearbox installation procedure.
- For units weighing over 25 kg, use a chain hoist, engine crane, or two-person lift to position the gearbox. Never attempt to lift heavy gearboxes solo.
- Fill the gearbox with the recommended gear oil (SAE 80W-90 or 85W-140 EP) to the level indicated on the sight glass or dipstick. Do not overfill.
