  1. Position the gearbox onto the mounting studs or bolt holes, verifying the input shaft faces the tractor PTO and the output shaft aligns with the blade hub or rotor.
  2. Ensure the PTO shaft has at least 50% spline overlap in all operating positions. Inadequate overlap causes rapid spline wear and potential shaft separation.
