- Connect the PTO drive shaft to the gearbox input spline. Push the shaft on fully and verify it telescopes freely through the complete range of three-point hitch travel.

- Disconnect the tractor PTO shaft and safely support the mower implement on jack stands or blocks before beginning the gearbox installation procedure.
- For units weighing over 25 kg, use a chain hoist, engine crane, or two-person lift to position the gearbox. Never attempt to lift heavy gearboxes solo.
- Fill the gearbox with the recommended gear oil (SAE 80W-90 or 85W-140 EP) to the level indicated on the sight glass or dipstick. Do not overfill.
- Before operating at full load, run through a graduated break-in sequence: 30 minutes at half-throttle, then 30 minutes at three-quarter throttle, before engaging full PTO speed.
- Inspect the implement mounting pad for flatness using a straightedge. Any warping exceeding 0.5 mm should be corrected before the new gearbox is installed.
